Agrotechnics.
Light, highly fertile soils are suitable for tomatoes. For seedlings, seeds are sown in March to a depth of 2-3 cm. Before sowing, the seeds are treated with potassium permanganate and washed with clean water.
Picking - in the phase of 1-2 true leaves. Seedlings are fed 2-3 times with complete fertilizer. 7-10 days before planting, seedlings begin to harden. Seedlings are planted in heated greenhouses in April, in unheated film greenhouses - in May at the age of 60-65 days.
Planting density: 2-4 plants per 1 sq.m.
Tall tomatoes are usually formed in 2 stems. The 2nd stem is formed from a stepson located under the first brush. The remaining stepsons are removed. The lower leaves of the plants are also removed. The growth of the plants is also limited, leaving an average of 6-8 brushes on the plant.
Tall tomatoes must be tied to horizontal or vertical trellises. In the future, the plants are watered regularly. Warm water is used for watering. During the growing season, 2-3 plant fertilizers are applied. To improve the formation of ovaries, it is recommended to gently shake the plant every 5 days during the flowering period or periodically treat it with an ovary formation stimulator.
